This feature is used in the context of debugging, testing, and backup scenarios, the button allows external connections such as TCP, UDP, Art-Net, etc. to be established without actively sending any data.
This ensures that during testing, debugging, or backup operations, no unintended data is sent to external devices.

Use

Backup

To enable seamless backup switching in a control environment, it may be necessary for the modules used in the project to have already processed the required logic during the show. This ensures they are in the correct state when the system switches over to the backup.

In a backup control scenario, this function can be used to ensure the system is immediately ready when a switchover occurs. For example, it allows modules to already be in the correct state during a show without actively sending commands. However, in some cases, connections such as TCP may require a heartbeat signal. If “Allow Protocol Outputs” is disabled, this heartbeat cannot be sent, which may prevent the connection from staying active.

Current State Feedback

Dieser Button kann aktiviert und deaktiviert werden, dabei werden alle send commands im lua code der jeweiligen verbindung abgefangen.

  • Activated

  • Deactivated

If this option is disabled, a one-time info message will be printed to the log after the Control LUA Core reload and intended sending over a connection to inform the user that it is currently enabled — in case this was not intended.

Warning

Even when deactivated, the green “connected” icons will still be displayed.
